It's about all the posturing and arguing that is going on and it's hurting our country.
Personally , I don't care what party they are trying to promote . If the country goes to hell then what does it matter who is right or wrong.
We have to be honest with our problems and most of them will have hard choices to make to correct them.
One of them is the economy and how the deficit is bringing our great country down. It seems like the solution from the current administration is to throw money at it and pay for it at the cost of more taxes and fees.
We would not need to raise the tax if our money was spent wisely and on things that are essential to our country. Creating new jobs is part of the solution. With more people working then the tax base is expanded and there would be more money available to fund the nation. But with corruption and ill advised spending it would only make the problem worse with the " tax and spenders " having more funds to use .
There has to be a huge tax reform. Not to benefit just a portion of tax payers, but across the whole plane of the tax base. Tax every one at a percentage that is the same for every individual and corporation. There would be no tax breaks, loopholes or deductions. If every one pays let's say a 15% rate with no deductions or breaks, or ways to avoid it then every one would share the burden equally and it would erase the deficit in a short time. I am not an expert but I am guessing that it would not take too long to do this.
Of course the problem would still be there if the current system of spending is still on the throne. There has to be cuts to the spending and these would not be too popular with most or any. Some programs would also have to be cut. I for one can't see spending money for a "socialist national health plan" with out a realistic way to pay for it.
One of the ways to reform the health care in America is to look at the fraud that a lot of doctors are guilty of in their multiple billing practices and the charging of treatments and operations that are unnecessary and very costly. The insurance companies are also to blame for the high rates they charge. They are in it for the money and profit period. They don't care if you can pay or not they just want the money while you can pay and will cut you off if you can't pay or your treatments are becoming too expensive . This comes right back to the doctor and hospital over charging.
Obama has been a very disappointing choice that the majority of voters made. It's quite obvious that he is not a leader. If you look closely at all of his actions, speeches, and laws he has and has tried to impose then you might see that he seems more interested in making history and what history will say about his Presidency.
Yes, he made history by being the first black (sorry but being pc is not my style) to be elected to office.
He was elected by voters who also wanted to be part of that history and mistakenly made a very poor choice. Unfortunately we all have to live with it. I don't know which candidate who's hat is in the ring for the '12 elections would be a better choice. All I know is that America cannot afford any more of the inept leadership , if you want to call it that, that the present administration is.
If Obama is elected again, then it's "Yes we can" drive America right into the ground. Then all of America will resemble "Ground Zero" like the WTC.
